Electrical Instructor

Job Description

The responsibility of the Electrician Instructor is to deliver both classroom and lab skill instruction to prepare students to enter the field as electrician trainees. The Instructor will follow an approved curriculum to deliver instruction and motivate students to gain confidence and master the skills necessary to prepare students for entry-level employment upon graduation.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare lesson plans for classroom and lab instruction following the approved curriculum and schedules
  • Monitor students’ attendance and progress
  • Identify students at risk and in need of tutorial assistance and guidance to improve performance
  • Promote and maintain a positive and productive teaching and learning environment
  • Maintain and consistently apply safety procedures and maintain teaching equipment and tools
  • Maintain inventory of tools and supplies
  • Participate in program curriculum reviews and update process

REQUIRE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Thirty-six months combined Industry and/or teaching experience.
  • Teaching experience is not required if you are skilled in your field. (We will train)
  • Must have an Electrician Journeyman License or equivalent work experience or a C10 Contractor License
  • Good communication skills
  • Enthusiastic with the ability to motivate students
  • Committed to education and training of others to succeed in the field

HVAC Instructor

Job Description

Capstone College is looking for HVAC technicians to share your expertise and knowledge to join us as an Instructor at our Pasadena Campus. We have successfully transitioned experienced HVAC technicians with limited or no teaching background into educators. We provide ongoing training and tools to guide you in conducting our structured curriculum.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carries out lesson plans for classroom and lab instruction following the approved curriculum and schedules
  • Monitor students’ attendance and progress
  • Identify students at risk and in need of tutorial assistance and guidance to improve performance
  • Promote and maintain a positive and productive teaching and learning environment
  • Maintain and consistently apply safety procedures and maintain teaching equipment and tools
  • Instructs students about safety and complies and practices preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities and labs on campus.

REQUIRE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum education: High School – Associates Degree preferred

Work Experience and other qualifications:

  • Minimum 36 months of combined field and/or teaching experience.
  • Universal EPA (608) License required and other industry certifications such as NATE.
  • Experience in commercial and residential HVAC.
  • Good communication skills
  • Enthusiastic with the ability to motivate students
  • Committed to education and training of others to succeed in the field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.

Senior Financial Aid Administrator

Pasadena, CA | Full-Time or Part-Time | Hiring As Soon As Possible

Job Description

Capstone College is seeking Senior Financial Aid Administrator for our campus in Pasadena, CA. You will be the initial point of contact and will complete Title IV Financial Aid packaging for prospective and active students. Responsibilities include interviewing students and performing a variety of duties associated with the packaging and processing financial aid assistance program applications for about twenty (20) new students per month. Additional responsibilities include supporting students in the appropriate procedures to ensure the completion of all applicable grant, loan applications, and performing entrance, and exit counseling.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Job Salary: $45,000 – $60,000 per year
  • Should be familiar with COD, FAAACCESS, BPPE, Clery Act, SEOG, IPEDS, and NSLDS
  • Schedule: 40 hour week–Monday to Friday (In-person) Some evenings
